The fisherman’s hut is a romantic ecolodge nestled in the woods of our quirky campsite, Parenthèses imaginaires. This waterside ecolodge is a wonderful spot for a romantic break for one or two nights, or for a 100% all-nature weekend. We are near the famous town of Brantôme in the Dordogne.This cosy fisherman’s cabin can accommodate 2 people and is set off on its own in the middle of our forest. It sits on the banks of our fishing lake, facing south. This hut is 30m², excluding terrace and private pontoon. It is a non-smoking property. There is a barbecue and picnic table nearby.

As an ecolodge, the fisherman’s hut is designed to have zero ecological impact on its local environment. This means it has no water or electricity. Instead, it comes equipped with solar lamps and jerry-cans of water.
The hut is one large open-plan room with:
- A 140/190 cm double bed with large duvet, 2 65/65 cm pillows
- 4 private mini-cabins : a hunter’s kitchenette, a laundry room with an icebox, a dressing area and a clothes storage area
- A lounge area with 2 benches, a coffee table and 2 armchairs
- A separate WC (this is a dry toilet)
- A southern-facing covered terrace with a coffee table and 2 loungers
- Its own private pontoon and fishing boat
- A barbecue and picnic table
You can freshen up and do your washing up in the nearby sanitary block.
Rates and what’s included
Our rates include use of the hut for a maximum of 2 persons, bed made, household linen, fishing on a No-kill basis both day and night, access to the site and use of all its games and activities. The price does not include housekeeping: this is your responsibility.

The balance is due one month prior to your arrival date and can be paid by wire transfer or by card.
There is a security deposit of €300, payable on arrival in cash.
